Carrier Relations Manager

Lakeside’s Carrier Relations Manager has one objective: To focus on carriers.
Carriers are a critical element of our business. We cannot meet our commitments to our customers without them. We want carriers to know about Lakeside and to want to do business with us.

Lakeside operates on the ETDBW philosophy – to be easy to do business with. With our emphasis on Carrier Relations, this philosophy extends to our carrier partners. We support all of our approved carriers with online services such as Load Availability, Accounts Payable status and SuperPay.

As Carrier Relations Manager, Bernadette Tapp concentrates on strengthening existing carrier relationships and developing new partnerships. This enables Lakeside to offer one of the highest levels of capacity in the industry.

In Ontario she travels in our Carrier Relations Prius but her total territory is North America. The Prius hybrid technology is one of our company’s many initiatives to reduce our carbon emissions. In her travels, Bernadette visits carriers to make presentations about Lakeside and talks to drivers at truck terminals, truck stops and border crossings. Her primary objectives are to recruit new carriers and maintain the relationships we have with our existing suppliers. By meeting face to face, we can demonstrate our commitment to our carriers.

Throughout 2008, Bernadette will also be bringing carriers information on our Vision Green programs. Leading by example, we are working with suppliers and customers to develop programs and support their efforts to decrease their environmental footprint.
