Our Vision Green program can help you green your supply chain.

Supply chains are evolving rapidly to accommodate new imperatives in sustainability. Reputation and regulations are accelerating the move to green. Lakeside, in partnership with Zerofootprint, can quantify greenhouse gas emissions throughout your supply chain. We work with our customers to create technology and solutions to reduce their carbon emissions through throughout their transportation network. We provide regular reporting on customer-defined metrics.

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions like CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) and NOX (Nitrogen Oxide) is an important initiative currently underway in the transportation industry. Under our Vision Green banner, Lakeside is working with our carrier partners to actively reduce their emissions by helping them to participate in and develop programs to reach defined green goals.

Lakeside joined the SmartWay Transport Partnership in 2007 and is aggressively targeting our carrier partners to make the same commitment. Today, 35 of our carriers are SmartWay Partners hauling 15% of our miles. Our 3-year goal is to double that to 30% of our miles. This in turn supports our customers’ initiatives to reduce their carbon footprint by offering the option of using SmartWay carriers for some or all of their transportation needs.
